Making a difference: How can the church engage with the economic and social challenges facing Wales?’ – with Stephen Martin, Director of Public Policy Institute for Wales

Steve will discuss some of the economic and social challenges faces Wales: How can we fund the NHS and social care as our population ages?  Is it really possible to narrow the educational attainment gap?  What will happen to Welsh jobs post-Brexit?  He will suggest that it is important for a small country not to become small minded.  In an age of ‘post-truth politics’, the local church can play an important role in helping individuals and communities to understand the challenges they face and think imaginatively about how they can help to address them.
