Former Executive Director of AsiaCMS, Kang-San is official spokesperson for the World Evangelical Alliance on interfaith issues and is a member of Lausanne Theology Advisory Group. He has also served as Head of Mission Studies at Redcliffe College and Director for Mission Research for OMF. He obtained his Masters in Christian Studies in Old Testament from Regent College, Canada, and completed his doctoral studies in Missiology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, USA. He also holds a PhD in Theology of Religions from Aberdeen University.

Kang-San’s research interests include missional leadership, growing missional communities, Asian religions (Islam and Buddhism) and interfaith concerns. His publications include The Soul of Mission: Perspectives on Christian Leadership; Spirituality and Mission in East Asia; Understanding Asian Mission Movements; Contextualisation and Mission Training: Engaging Asia’s Religious Worlds and over 40 articles in mission journals.

He is married to Loun-Ling and they have a grown up daughter, Chara, working in Canada
